Here’s a little behind the scenes at J1.  This is the monitor that I use that displays the station statistics.  It updates every 5 minutes.  Within the grid, numbers in black are the free listeners, the red is the Live365 VIP members.

If the background is in gold, this is what we refer to as “golden time” on J1.  During Golden Time, only Live365 VIPs can tune into the stream.  This is because all of the free slots are currently filled up.

The other important figure on here in the ASL (average simultaneous listeners).  This is the average number of listeners (regular + VIP combined) for the past 24 hours.

Based on the pace right now, it looks like we will end the night with an 18.8 ASL.  This means that on average, 18 to 19 people have been listening to J1.  Even though we have 20 free slots, it is possible for the ASL to go over 20.

Please remember, when you listen using a Live365 VIP membership, you are also helping J1 by offsetting our annual broadcast fees.  J1 is listener supported.
